CT = Ozone concentration (ppm) × Time (minutes)
A CT value of 330 is the benchmark used in medical device certification
(Japan’s PMDA). By calculating the required concentration based on your
room volume and your generator’s ozone output, you can determine the
exact treatment duration needed.
Choosing the Right Generator
Knowing the treatment time per room helps you select the optimal generator.
If your cleaning workflow allows only 30 minutes of ozone treatment,
you need a generator with sufficient output to reach the target CT value

Safety Guidelines
Follow these precautions to ensure safe ozone treatment.
Vacate During Treatment
Ozone is a powerful oxidizer. Once the generator is activated, leave the room
immediately and do not re-enter until treatment is complete.
The space must be unoccupied during fumigation.
Ventilate After Use
High-concentration ozone remains after treatment. Generators with a
built-in recovery function (like Goerlitz) reduce residual ozone faster.
Otherwise, allow adequate ventilation before re-entry.
Protect Sensitive Items
Remove plants, animals, rubber products, synthetic resins, and food items
before treatment. Ozone’s oxidizing properties can damage these materials.

What is the difference between commercial and household ozone generators?
Commercial generators produce tens to hundreds of times more ozone than household units.
This enables effective disinfection and deodorizing in larger spaces (41 m² and above),
but requires the space to be unoccupied during treatment. Household units are designed
for occupied spaces with much lower output — insufficient for professional-grade results.
Is ozone safe for humans?
At the concentrations used for deodorizing and disinfection, ozone can be harmful
to humans and animals. That’s why all treatments must occur in unoccupied rooms.
Generators with recovery functions actively reduce residual ozone levels
before the room is reoccupied. For occupied-space disinfection needs, Kalmor

How long does a typical treatment take?

Yes. Both Goerlitz and Gowan generators are available for rental, allowing you to
